Participants at the ECCMIS Training
Non-judicial staff under Cluster Six are today undergoing training on the Electronic Court Case Management Information System (ECCMIS) at the Supreme Court Conference Hall, Level7.
The session, organized by the ECCMIS Technical Committee, is aimed at equipping staff with skills to efficiently use the system to enhance case management and service delivery.
The training was officially opened by the Commissioner for Human Resource, Ms. Apophia N. Tumwine, who reiterated the Judiciary's commitment to modernizing court processes through technology. She described ECCMIS as a key reform in eliminating manual inefficiencies, reducing delays, improving access to justice, and strengthening transparency in court operations.
"This training marks another crucial step in ensuring that justice is delivered more efficiently, transparently, and equitably across Uganda," Ms. Tumwine said.
She urged participants to take an active role in the successful implementation of ECCMIS, emphasizing that their engagement is vital.
"I encourage you to engage fully, ask questions, and explore the various functionalities of the system so you can fully utilize its capabilities," she said.
Ms. Tumwine also reminded staff of the importance of professionalism and integrity, warning against misuse of the system or neglect of duty.
She stressed accountability, punctuality, and commitment to service, cautioning that absenteeism or misconduct would attract disciplinary measures.
ECCMIS Project Manager, Mr. Joseph Ssinabulya, has already taken participants through an introduction to the system's features and functionalities. The staff are now being guided through the practical application of the system, including user registration and e-filing, with demonstrations on different user roles. The session also includes an interactive Q&A segment to address challenges and clarify processes.
The day's training is beingfacilitated by Senior Systems Administrator, Mr. Dennis Rwatooro.
